Hit by their insured , denied 100% ....... Classic Mercedes hit by a $300 pickup .....the guy said he was on the last point on his license .

This company takes last-chance insureds , then denies obvious claims.

Does this look like a fender bender ? No, complete BS from this company

Classic ? How about old ?

When was the last time anyone cleaned the brake dust out of those front wheels ? I had several of these cars in the late 80's early 90's and had to invoke the state "lemon law" at great personal inconvenience and expense ; how did yours live so long ?

The '87 190E 2.6 died and left me stranded when it was 8 days from delivery, the '88 300SE ate brakes like popcorn and could not hold an alignment for a week, the '89 560SEL squealed like a garbage truck when stopping, the sunroof jammed and squealed halfway through operation, the driver seat was installed crooked (7 degrees to the left) and the driveshaft fell out of the '90 300SE. Nothing classic about any of those junk wagons ; I still get irritated when I see one ....

198* ***SEL , brakes were new there , buddy. And the SAFECO 400 pounder hit ME, in his dented Toyota trcuk.

How he crammed his bulk behind that wheel and still was able to steer....... safeco denied the claim ! Regarding the old Benz, you couldn't be more in the minority. People love these Teutonic marvels.

I have owned several over the years , run well, and they are built like tanks. The only complaints anyone has with the older ones are when someone picks up an abused one that was driven int othe ground because they will go so long without care

I bought them all new. They were lousy cars.

History. Minority ? Not if you hung around the dealership back then. The company had serious problems with numerous mechanical systems that caused endless grief for their owners.

Made lots of new friends in the service waiting room. Teutonic Mess-terpieces. $77,000 (1989) dollars for a car that was a lemon with multiple issues. $52,000 (1988) dollars for a car with serious brake problems since Day-1.

Never did resolve - it was the period between soft and hard brake pads. The soft ones wore away within 5,000 miles and the hard ones squealed like pigs and ate up other brake components.

The 1993 spent enough time in the shop (more than at home) and qualified for our state lemon law. I'm glad you like your car, but I didn't care for mine and I gave up the brand and never looked back.
