I had them on autopay at my bank and was prepared for $ 141 deduction.with no warning or explanation, they deducted $190. when I called to question, I was told that everyone in texas received a rate increase because of the hurricane disaster.
may have been reasonable had I been informed in time to explore options before being charged. I cancelled my policy and they only refunded the increase amount.i am pursuing the full amount since I cancelled before premium was earned. when I first contacted them I was told that the only thing I could do about it was to cancel my policy. I immediately went online and purchased another policy with another company.
when I called back to cancel my policy with Safeco , they were surprised and wondered why I wanted to cancel.
when I explained that I felt that their action was unethical and dishonest , I was told that I would receive a refund. I only received a $49 refund and I am very unhappy.
